ISAGE provides strategic guidance at the intersection of Indigenous sovereignty, research, and governance. Led by a qualitative scientist, our work centres careful listening, relational methods, and deep engagement with community context. We work with organizations that want to do this work well, not simply to meet requirements, but to build approaches that are meaningful, responsible, and grounded in Indigenous priorities.
Our work supports communities, institutions, researchers, and organizations at different stages of their journey. This includes those beginning to engage with Indigenous communities, as well as those navigating complex research, data, and governance environments where Indigenous rights, responsibilities, and expectations must be carefully respected. Across all of our work, we emphasize community-driven and Indigenous-led approaches, relational accountability, and long-term trust-building.
ISAGE works with a wide range of partners who are committed to respectful, ethical, and sovereignty-aligned work with Indigenous communities. This includes:

Guidance on Indigenous-led data governance that supports ethical data use, stewardship, and decision-making grounded in community priorities, rights, and responsibilities.

Support for designing and conducting research that is community-driven, Indigenous-led, and ethically grounded, from early planning through implementation.

Development of strategies, policies, and governance frameworks that move organizations beyond compliance and toward meaningful, sovereignty-aligned practice.

Thoughtful facilitation and strategic advisory support for meetings, retreats, and complex discussions, grounded in relationship-building and shared understanding.

Customized learning and capacity-building supports that strengthen understanding of Indigenous sovereignty, governance, ethics, and relational accountability.

Culturally grounded, qualitative evaluation and knowledge-sharing approaches that centre Indigenous perspectives and support learning, accountability, and impact.
